As a key member of an organization's top level management team, this position plans, directs, leads, and manages the company's sales to maximize profitability.
This position takes a leadership role in anticipating, understanding, and meeting the rapidly changing and exacting demands of customers and suppliers while working closely with the management team in developing and executing the company's strategic plan.
Regional Sales Manager
- Optimize sales results by:
- Identifying products which yield the most profitability to the company and promoting the sale of those products through the sales organization
- Work towards building up an effective telesales function that supports the sales force and permits it to focus on the more profitable sales activities
- Disengaging from businesses which do not fit the company's focus
- Identifying products which yield the most profitability to the company and promoting the sale of those products through the sales organization
- Review analysis of activities, costs, gross profit margins, and sales results to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives; take corrective action as required; present results of review to Vice-President, President, or CEO
- Participate in the implementation and administration of the company's formal employee performance appraisal process and compensation program as they apply to the sales organizations
- Perform special studies/projects to enhance the profitable sales of the company
Regional Sales Manager
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for sales calls, account acquisition and growth in sold accounts' transactional volume
- Position and articulate the client's value proposition with resulting sales
- Develop solid consultative relationships with decision makers and all stake holders
- Provide consultative sales approach when meeting with top level executives and key decision makers to educate them on the value and savings that TSMS delivers to the bottom line
- Persuasively position the value of your products and services versus both in-kind and not in-kind products
